I’ve been working with this new laptop for about 11 days as of now. The manufacturer specs state battery life Up To 8 Hours. Well, I’m curious on what that “up to” means? Just running normal applications (browser, MS Word, etc) with the monitor brightness set at only 40% (about as low as can be so I can actually see the screen) as well as being in power saving mode, I get a maximum of 2.5 hours battery life. If I’m playing a simple game (meaning not extremely resource intensive), I get a maximum of 1 to 1.25 hours of battery life before having to put it on the charger again. I’m thinking their idea of “up to 8 hours” means with the screen actually turned off, sitting idle with no action going on. Frankly, I’m appalled at the battery life. However, returning a computer is extremely difficult so I’ll just have to bear with it until my next purchase, which will surely NOT be a Lenovo.
