This set was just flat-out fun to assemble. Just about everything looks fantastic. I’d say “just about” because the windshield is made of two parts that just feel off without something to represent a post between them and the under sides of wash piece divides the interior oddly. But it’s a minor criticism of my own.
The boom lifts well and has nice range. You do need to use the locking pins you assemble to lock it in place. And speaking of the pins, you’re supposed to place them in the slots near the base of the boom but I think they look better placed in the technic brick parts on the counterweights. And the boom extends smoothly. You do need to lower the hook as you extend it. So some gearing to adjust the length of the thread as you extend the boom would’ve been nice but may have been too bulky.
