I bought a set of these for my 6th grade classroom. The kids loved them. Immediately 2 didn’t work out of the box. I expected that so no big deal. I immediately ordered another set since I have 32 students. Within 2 weeks, 5 more had broken or stopped working. The strip on top for solar is not protected by any sort of plastic. My kids pushed on it with their fidgeting and broke a ton of them. Many still work even with that ruined for now – but it looks horrible and now the other kids are tempted to do it. The decimal button has stopped working on about a third of them. If not the decimal, then the zero has stopped working. It is VERY frustrating. Most of my students asked for their old calculator back – the ones I had purchased from the dollar store. I do not recommend this product. I wish I had waited a month before buying another set. It is a terrible waste of money for a teacher who is already strapped for cash.

When the calculators arrived 3 of them were not sealed around the edge. I had to pop them into place and close the cases. By the end of the first day of use in my classroom I am down 10 calculators out of 30. The solar strip does not appear to actually be attached to anything. I know this because the one calculator that got dropped, burst into 4 different pieces from a low fall. The “0” key does not work on 8 of the calculators so far. I understand that these are “value” calculators however, I cannot afford to buy a new set each week.

Instantly fell apart. Did not last a week of use. The solar panel is fake and not actually attached to the system. Buttons stopped working and panel fell out on over half of the calculators.
