Got my saw today and had a metal framed canopy that collapsed sawed into pieces small enough for the garbage can in under an hr. Then went to work on a metal framed outdoor swing that’s been rusted out for several years and had it done is under 20 mins. Was worried it wouldn’t be powerful enough being cordless but that wasn’t the case at all. Think I’m going to love this one. I’m a 75 yr old grammy and love all the Ryobi products I have.

I finally had a nice day to head into the back yard and start chopping up some fallen branches into lengths that will fit in my fire pit. This tool is amazing, worked great on branches down to a size where I could snap them with my hands, and all the way up to a pressure-treated 4×4 fence post. Over 3-4 hours I went through two 4ah batteries.
The balance is outstanding, and I felt fully in control of the tool at all times. I routinely took advantage of being able to set it down on the battery (blade in the air) and it never once fell over. I probably had more fatigue from steadying the vibrating work pieces than I did from lifting and controlling the tool.
As a home improvement hobbyist, I really can’t imagine ever going back to a “regular” two-handed reciprocating saw, this is perfect.

Used once so far to trim branches, one hand operation is the big plus. Tends to vibrate a bit if branch isn’t supported with the other hand.

Husband wanted this as he only has use of one arm/hand and we had tons of projects at both our home and aging parents. This thing has really delivered and he uses it with ease on projects that most wouldn’t think to use such a tool, such as cutting up maple roots that had taken over our compost or trimming up smaller tree branches as he cannot use most other tools, either power or hand for this job. Get’s into tight places and has accurate cuts. Blades have lasted long time considering the hell we put them through, too.

This guy is the best for an at-home tool collection. Lightweight, strong and easy to swap blades. The battery does die quicker than the drills but that should be expected.

I have a full-size reciprocating saw that is heavy and requires two hands. I wanted something that would do the same job but was easier to handle. This compact saw is great.
I already have a number of Ryobi tools and batteries so I was pleased to see they make a compact brushless saw.
I had some limbs blow down from the wind and I needed to cut them up. It was so easy to grab this saw and cut them to size. Very handy that you can use it with one hand. It made short work of the limbs.
Wish it came with more than one blade.
