This is just an OK pack of calculators. They work but they have many drawbacks for those who want to do a little bit more than simply add, subtract, multiply, or divide just two numbers one at a time. The price is decent: at about $1.50 for each calculator, they do the simple four operations well. They run on solar power and each one accepts a single AAA battery (not included) that I assume is used as backup when its dark.
My issues with these calculators are how it handles certain functions beyond basic operations of just two numbers. One issue is that is does NOT recognize PEMDAS. It just goes from left to right in the same manner a 2nd grader would. If you enter “1+2×3” which is 7, it’ll give you 9 because it’s not prioritizing multiplication over addition. This is wrong but understandable in a sub $1.50 calculator. Also, it doesn’t have the ability to enter parentheses, so you can’t as it to do 1+(2×3) to force it to prioritize the multiplication. This has other nuances that are annoying/incorrect, but I’m being VERY forgiving considering the price of this little cheapie.
It’s a SIMPLE calculator, and nothing more. It does those simple calculations as expected, but be careful with anything more advanced. This is great for a teacher giving exams that require fast calculations to do word problems, but don’t want to allow students to use cell phones as calculators which have access to internet apps that are capable of thinking and figuring out solutions.
I’ve attached a video review so you can see some of what I’m talking about and you can make your own decisions. I hope this review helps someone.

We live in a very beautiful, very small, very rural town, in an economically poor area. Our local school kids need every bit of help they can get. When I saw this pack of basic calculators I knew the local elementary school would love it. My wife and I are in our 70s and we donate a lot of stuff to various organizations in our community. When we gave this to the school principal, she was overjoyed.

These are, as described, basic calculators. You aren’t going to program a navigation system with them, but for basic math functions, these work fine. I almost never rate something by value, but I will rate by price. At about $1.50 per calculator, I think this is a super price! Well done Bulexy. 5 stars.

Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. It matters not if I have purchased the item myself or if it was provided to me for review. My goal is to provide other potential customers as much real-world knowledge as possible to make an informed decision. In some cases I will return to my review in 6 months or less to see if I should alter my original observations. In no case will the cost of a product influence my opinions at all. In addition, I will try to include multiple images and or videos on each product, if practical.

This is great for the class and inexpensive if you are on a budget. They work without issue. The solar power works in dimly lit rooms as well, so long you have a good light source like from a desk lamp.

I have not experience any miscalculations with these calculators. It works great for basic arithmetic calculations.

  4. Shoe Box Packer

I ordered these calculators to put in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I love the idea of them having solar power and battery power. However, when I tried to open the battery compartment to try them with batteries they were extremely difficult to open. My husband and I couldn’t do it, so when my 16 year old strong grandson came he managed to open all of them for me. I am concerned about the children being able to open the battery compartment to replace the batteries as I send extras.

All the kids seem to need calculators for school so we decided to get these for them. I wasn’t sure if they could work without a battery in and it did. I like that there is a place for a battery if you choose to use one but with the solar power, you don’t need it unless you plan on using it in the dark. They worked well in our house without a lot of light. I tried different calculations and it worked well. They felt slightly cheap but that’s to be expected because they aren’t very expensive and kids don’t need a costly calculator at school where they can get lost or stolen. There is enough in this pack if one should break. Each one came nicely packed in their own box. We like these calculators and would recommend them for school kids.

They only work at intervals, and even then are often incorrect. The numerals are often displayed incorrectly.

  7. G. Hearn

These are rather small and simple calculators. He run on both solar and battery, which is really nice. Single AAA battery is not included. Though a battery is not required to function, as long as there is enough light. They are individually packaged. Great for classrooms, or a school supply closet.

These calculators are made in China and the sold by Chinese company on Amazon. Keep in mind that these are very basic and simple calculators. I think they work fine for what they are. But if you’re looking for something which is sturdier… And perhaps offers more functions… Then this is not it.
