Works great when you don’t feel like holding a level. You’ll need a decent tripod. I’ve used the expensive commercial laser levels and I would say this is a few steps below the higher end bosch models. Great for around the house/ light duty use. Well worth the price.

Got this laser level because I was getting a new laser measure for my kit & there was a sale. Figured it would be worth trying and I wasn’t wrong! This level is so much easier to use than anything else I’ve tried – especially in buildings without level floors or ceilings. This thing would have saved me so much time when masking off details on painted walls, or when I built a pool of water on a slanted concrete floor. Using this for film is also crucial – Steadicam shots are leveled automatically by the gimbal so it’s really helpful to make sure everything on set is level too – not just relative to the surroundings. I saw other reviews complaining about the length of the lines, but I found it’s worked well in every situation so far. It’s especially bright and clear at night, but even next to lights and daytime it’s still visible. You can always move it on a tripod to get another angle or continue a really long line if nessesary. Anyway I’m really excited about it and it was definitely worth it!!

This is my first laser level, so take my opinion for what it’s worth.
This did what I needed it to do – assist in installing a shower. I didn’t have much luck with the included base, (not sure what it’s supposed to clamp on to!) but I was able to use my own tripods of various sizes to get the lines I needed. It does need to be dialed in level so it doesn’t blink, but I would guess that’s the same with every laser level. The red laser worked fine for me indoors. Never tried it outdoors.

I bought this laser level for a couple things, installing patio blocks and doing diy alignment on vehicles. Worked great for both.

I had high hopes for the BOSCH GLL50-20 Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser, but it fell short in accuracy. It doesn’t properly detect the floor level and often goes out of estimation, which messed up my work. The concept is great, but the execution leaves much to be desired. It’s frustrating to have to double-check and correct the leveling, especially when precision is crucial. I expected better from Bosch.
