Don’t get me wrong, this is still a cool tool and all, but this is what feels like an unnecessary pain. The tool takes up about half an inch more space at the cutting side than my other multi-tool. The Dewalt is still nice, I’m keeping it for sure. It’s powerful, the light is nice, it’s light weight, it’s reasonably quite, but you can’t really use the round blades for much, which is a real bummer because they’re the much better at cutting straight lines than the other type.

Tool arrived on time and in perfect shape. This tool is probably the most versatile I have ever used. In most cases this tool will give you a good result however never the great cut you get only from task specific saws but when do you have them all on hand. I bing this tool with me to every job.

Dewalt has mad a tool for many uses. I purchased it to remove all sizes and shapes of nails that were used in my home built in 1976 . Screws were not used in my post & beam house and there were many nails poking through here and there. Tried cutting a wee bit of wood on the bottom of my doors to make room for my new floors and it worked easily and cannot tell or see any work that was done. Now on to new projects thanks to the YouTube vases and Dewalt’s videos’.
I now own a multitool, a sander and a saw along with 2 drills that have interchangeable batteries and I’m happy with the progress. I’m 65 years old and I love this new woodworking passion.

I replaced an old oscillator tool with this one. It is fantastic. I’ve used this tool more in 3 months than the old tool over 10 years.
It’s powerful, cuts fast and leaves a smooth finish.
I’ve cut metal, aluminum, wood , dry wall and plastic, all with surprisingly good results. Flush cutting dowels is a breeze and leaves an unmarked surface.
Recently, I didn’t have a router or chisel so I used it for mortising hinges and the door strike. I didn’t have the right size of drill bit with me but I had a small blade and cut a perfect square in the door frame for the bolt.
For precision mortises, use masking tape on the blade for the depth cut, cut the perimeter, make multiple scoring cuts and the remove the material starting at the edge of the frame or the door. It’s so quick and easy to do a good job I may never rout a hinge mortise again.
