Good quality Dewalt item, well worth your hard earned money…..
Good build quality, rugged but not too heavy,
Just watch out for look a ‘like knock off’s’ often listed with Dewalt products.

The saw works ok as long as the chain does not bind causing the motor to stop due to a lack of torque. I have an EGO chainsaw which is used for larger cuts and it has significantly more torque and rarely binds when cutting those bigger logs. Would I purchase again, good question because I do like the convenience of a smaller saw for smaller cuts.

It shuts off after 10 seconds. Chain is adjusted properly, oil is full. I read online since that this is a problem well documented online. Either a software issue or engine issue.

It was either Dewalt or Milwaukee. Compact, it cuts fairly well, make sure you have the saw against the housing for the best power. The battery is an 18-volt, with power, however, the battery wears out quickly. There is a permanent guard on the end to prevent kickbacks if you are inexperienced. It gets in the way of tight angles. The bolt that holds the chain and flywheel is not a quick release like other chainsaws I have, which slows the job down when it must be removed to clear debris or reset the chain. These are the reasons for not having a higher rating. Using chain saws for nearly 50 years provides me the opportunity to provide this type of feedback. Purchase an extra battery and an extra 8 chain and bar if you intend on really using the saw for heavy trimming. You will be happy you did.
