Since I have already vested in the DeWalt ecosystem, I was able to buy the bare tool for much less that the counterpart. The tool is very solid, and easy to use. I’m currently using this tool to re-run all the water in my newly purchased house, and look forward to the “expanding part” of the process.

Worth every penny. Quality is excellent.
Works flawless. Easy to use and easy on the battery. Makes short work of projects.

Thank you eBay for having this tool for price lower than everywhere else, and actually being prompt in delivery. I got the tool in a couple days.
Dewalt expander tool comes with uponor heads. So if you are using this tool for zurn, you will need to also buy the zurn heads. The Milwaukee 12v tool comes with zurn heads. The Milwaukee 18v tool is for 1-1/4 pex and bigger. I have 18v Milwaukee crimp tool. But no 12v stuff.
I knew that before I chose the dewalt expander tool over the Milwaukee 12v expander tool. For one, I have all dewalt, and I would have to buy the hole kit in order to get the Milwaukee tool. Secondly, I rather have a 18/20 volt dewalt tool over a Milwaukee 12v tool anyway. Those were my choices. The dewalt have more power, and is faster, and stronger, and will hold up to the task for a long time. And it has a bright light on it, when you pull the trigger.
Safe to say! I am happy with my decision. I have been using my dewalt expander tool a lot, with the zurn heads and it performs very well.

As usual Dewalt has produced a good quality tool. In this case the expansion tool! Not many tool manufacturers make these at this time but compared to Milwaukee its as good and batteries interchange with as many tools but at a much cheaper price

    Great tool for the job.
It does what it supposed to do as expected/advertised.
