This router is so nice to use because you can concentrate on your work without fighting a cord. The brushless motor is pretty easy on batteries considering the power used. The tool is so solid and well made it is a pleasure to use. The large diameter base fits my big hands well, but is larger than my old corded trim router. Some may find it unwieldy or hard to get used to. I love it and highly recommend it.

Slowly migrating my power tools over to the Dewalt 20v line. This router is very handy and easy to hold. It is replacing my corded Bosch laminate trimer. Build quality is everything I would hope from Dewalt. The accessorie base/ hand grip is on my list to purchase next. Bit ajustment is a breeze. The best part is no cord to deal with. Two thumbs up.

This is another quality tool from Dewalt. It is easy to setup and use and has good power for a router this size. It works best with at least a 5H Battery.

I have the full size plunge and fixed base dewalt router and this is a really great compliment. It is so light in my hands and well balanced while working. The 2A battery that I use gives it just enough weight while working. It fits great in my hand and I never feel like I am losing control. I highly recommend this especially if you have already committed to the dewalt 20V batteries in your shop.

Being a woodworker, this cordless trim router was just what I needed. Tired of dragging a cord around while trying to concentrate on what I’m routing, this DeWalt router is the way to go! Use with 5 AH battery and never had to worry about lack of power or running to the charger for more juice. Highly recommend this workhorse. No disappointments here.

I haven’t taken the router through its entire paces, but what I have seen thus far is impressive — smooth startup, smooth operation, instantaneous stopping of the motor when powered off, plenty of power, and great fit and finish. I bought this over the Milwaukee compact router because of DeWalt’s documented longer run time and the power, which I have heard about in review after review. I haven’t put a half inch straight bit or a 3/8″ roundover bit and really ran it hard, but when I do, I will report back. This seems to have the power to handle it, but in the end you shouldn’t try to use it for operations that a compact router is not designed to tackle.

I haven’t actually used this to it’s full capacity quite yet, but I have tested it extensively. The adjustments take a bit getting used to as well as getting the “feel” of it’s working capacity. I do like the incremental adjustments and the fact that it does lock-in with no slipping. While cutting in, it did have a slight decrease in power but not really too noticeable as in, it didn’t bog down or anything. It performs quite well. And the led lights help with low-light situations. Has speed adjustment knob from 1-7(same as the XR 1/4 sheet sander). Also offers options for attachments with mounting holes. It comes with the clear plexi base to easily see while you’re working. A must have and recommended!

Most of my router projects do not require a full size router. This Dewalt router handles these small projects quite nicely. With a spindle lock a single wrench tightens the bit in place. The depth adjustment is quick and easy and stays where one sets it. The motor has sufficient power to handle the bits for typical project needs. (If one is using large diameter bits, a full size router would be better for more control.) Best of all is the lack of a cord.

Typical Dewalt quality and engineering in a compact chassis and NO cord to tie you down. Plenty of power to get basic routing jobs done accurately. Highly recommend.

This cordless router is a real powerhouse. Woth a 6 aH battery be attached I have routed about 25 cabinet door edges and there is still about 50% capacity left. Small, easy to adjust and use will now be my go to router when speed and convenience are needed.
