10 reviews for Dremel Drill Press Rotary Tool Workstation Stand with Wrench – Mini Portable Press & Tool Holder – 2 Inch Depth- Ideal for Drilling Perpendicular and Angled Holes – 220-01

    The good:
    – Stays compact
    – Cost is reasonable for what you get.
    – It is convenient for a quick task.
    – Works well overall.

    The bad
    – Can’t replace a drill press. Precision is disappointing. Don’t expect any. While the concept is great, there is a lot of flex in the system that one can hardly expect the Dremel to be centered or truly vertical. The Dremel is attached to a piece of plastic that does flex quite a bit. So any pressure will make the Dremel tilt some. There is also a lot of play in the sliding mechanism. The Dremel tool itself seems relatively precise. It is too bad this stand attachment looses all the benefit of Dremel’s precision.
    – Assembly not intuitive and uses cheap tightening methods. I never care to tighten by a bolt squeezing a tub. It is not good for long term use. It is not good to keep slide motion smooth. It would have been worth an extra dollars or two for such improvement.
    – Doesn’t allow for the right angle rotary attachment to be mounted with it. It would have allowed to use the grinding disk as cutting tool on tubing. Shame it’s not compatible.

I have a Dremel clone from the Gowaxawee company. It does everything the Dremel does at a substanitally lower price (also purchased from Amazon). I needed something to hold the Dremel steady while drilling indentations in the side of bass guitar necks for the placement of side markers.

This item did the job. The clone Dremel fit perfectly. Just make sure that you tighten all the necessary bolts and screws. This is NOT listed in the manual. Be sure to view some great YouTube videos about how to correctly setup this accessory. You can eliminate inaccuracy, wobble, and chatter by tightening up a few bolts and screws. Once you do that, you have a much more accurate drill press.

I would advise you to stay away from the many cheaper versions as you won’t be able to get accurate results. This device cost maybe $20 or so more than the cheapies, but well worth it for the higher quality results you will get.

Me es muy util para mis proyectos en madera y metal

Wow what a workstation. Never had a regret buying this item. The base is very strong Aluminum the Rod is chromed and also very strong. The rod can be extended up to 28 – 3/4″ tall with the internal extension rod. The uses of this workstation is limitless and it all leaves for the ideas to come in your head.
The base size is 9-3/8″ x 6-7/8″. Front to back of the base is 9-3/8″ and left to right of the base is 6-7/8″.

I’m very satisfied I bought this item as a combo pack together with the Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck and the Dremel 4000-6/50 120-Volt Variable-Speed Rotary Tool with 50 Accessories

You can’t go wrong buying the combo pack Dremel 4000-6/50 120-Volt Variable-Speed Rotary Tool with 50 Accessories with Work Station and MultiPro Keyless Chuck and that’s the way I went although it cost me a few bucks more on the long run but I got all items at the same time in one delivery.

All you need to do with this workstation is to mount it by bolting or screwing it down on an oversized piece of lumber neatly cut to approx 3″ bigger than the base all around so you can temporarily clam it to a workbench or table. For the users who use the Dremel everyday can directly mount it to a permanent workbench or table.

About the tool: The big black attachment (Crow’s Nest) can hold wrenches, bits of any size shank 1/8″ and under also can hold a small case with drill bits.
With the drill press feature it can go from 0 – 2″ in depth. You have electrical chord management clips to keep the chord safely away from the work.
You also have the Flex Shaft Tool Stand if and when needed for quick setup.

  5. M.A.N.

It’s a killer product for the price. Instructions to assemble were kind of bad to say the least, very useful, increases the utility of a Dremel exponentially.

  6. Greg

    Rec: item as described.
It was not assembled had to put together but was not a problem. Works and functions as it should. Works great I highly recommend this item.

  7. Bilbar

The tubular part is missing in the package.

  8. Aakash

This complements my Dremel tool nicely, just what I need to hold things in place. Arrived in perfect condition.

  9. M.A.N.

This thing is just designed perfectly to turn a dremel into a drill press, and it’s really well made too. Yes, it incorporates a decent amount of plastic into its construction, but all the parts that have to clamp down securely or rotate smoothly do exactly what they need to do. Just a lovely tool to use and offers great precision.

  10. Cliente de Amazon

Versatile and strong enough for my smallscale projects. Ideal for detailed woodwork.
