I needed a day cream with more moisturizing. This is more of a sunscreen and is immediately absorbed so feels like I needed more moisture. At the price I will not order again since it will be used up too quickly.

Watching reviewers complain that this is “just” sunscreen is deeply frustrating, like a live demonstration of what happens when people know just enough about something to be vocally wrong. The reason that the only ACTIVE ingredients listed are sunscreens is because among the ingredients, only sunscreens are required to be listed as drug ingredients. The inactive ingredients list all the ingredients that do the hydrating and plumping and brightening. Inactive doesn’t mean they don’t do anything, it just means they are not classified as medical actives.
This cream takes the classic Renergie H.P.N. 300-Peptide Cream and adds SPF. H.P.N. stands for its three superstar ingredients: hyaluronic acid, over 300 peptides, and niacinamide. They’re meant to hydrate, smooth wrinkles, and brighten. Because this cream contains SPF, I only use it in the morning, not at night. The texture is rich but not greasy, and it absorbs quickly for instant hydration and moderate sun protection. I do wish the SPF were higher. I also don’t know why so many high-end brands insist on added fragrance; the scent here is a bit much, though it is pleasant and luxurious. There’s also added color, which seems unnecessary.

The product is very effective at holding back the wrinkles while softening my skin. You only need a nice pea size, warm it with your fingers, then apply to face. Feels great. I’ve been using Lancôme products fairly regularly since the 90’s. My dr deducted 10 yrs off my age. That s pending. Highly recommend. Great gift.
