10 reviews for Milwaukee 2460-20 M12 Cordless Rotary Tool – Red

700 rpm faster than my old dremel and doesn’t slow down under load (at least not as noticeably).
It’s a bit heavier than a corded tool even with the small battery and you only get about 30 min of use per charge. You can probably get double that with the XC battery but the weight and balance fo the tool will obviously change. It’s convenient and portable for quick small jobs and really my only complaints are the battery life and the case flexes a little when you try to get collets really tight.

I love the Milwaukee M12 line. The batteries last good, charge quick, and won’t break the bank for a quality tool.
This rotory tool is exactly what I needed to replace my dremel that burned up after a year. I love the fact that is it wireless, and shows how much battery life is left when turned on. The speed control is also easy to operate. Overall, love this tool, and I can’t wait to see how long it will last!

Another fine example from Milwaukee. This light weight yet powerful rotary tool provides a cordless alternative for those projects removed from an outlet for power.

Perfect for engraving tools or anything you need your name on. Variable speed and battery gauge is nice. Have used to cut out outlets while hanging sheetrock just not sure about longevity using for that.

Nice rotary tool. very easy to use. I really like the quick twist chuck. No tools need to change bits. There is plenty of power and speed for the job. The battery runs this tool for more than an hour. I like the balance and weight.

Very good quality. I bought because I have other milwaukee tools and I could use the m12 battery system i already have. I have used the tool quite a bit so far and it works very well. I do not regret getting this rotary tool at all.

I bought this to replace my corded mastercraft that the power button was starting to get a little finicky. We either go with makita or Milwaukee for our tools… we try to stick with makita to keep the batteries the same but have been adding lots of Milwaukee tools as makita doesnt make grease guns or rotary tools like I was looking for.
Overall it’s a good tool for what I’ve tried (lapidary, shaping stone n stuff) from the reviews I watched people were claiming it’s better than dremel. I bought the bigger 12v (6ah) batteries so I could stand it up after use

Maybe I expected to much….
I wanted something to cut through PVC pipe that was not to heavy and small enough for me to handle. I also wanted it to last for a good amount of time without having to be plugged in. I can put a fully charge (Pretty New) battery on it and I can only cut 2 – 4″ pipe cuts and the battery is already dead. I will keep using it because it does work great on small things for me so far. I also need to try it with more ends.
I do love Milwaukee tools and this will not take me from that. I will just have to go back to the Milwaukee Angle Grinder for the PVC pipe cuts.

A very nice rotary tool. Its small, easy to use and finds a place with my high end dyna-brade and sioux die grinders. It is handy as a small cut off tool as well as small bit drilling and grinding. I am replacing a couple of these that I have been using for so many years I cant remember.

I’ve purchased several of the Milwaukee cordless tools over the last few months to replace other brands and every one of them has been well made, performed very well, and the batteries last a long time. This is no exception.
