I’m sure I speak for many women who don’t want to fell trees, but have a lot of little projects that need to be done. I was using a reciprocating saw and it worked okay, but the Milwaukee is just great, so much better. I got the newest battery from E-bay and the saw is perfect for removing saplings and trees growing between my deck and fence. It’s great for small stumps (I have a lot of volunteer cedars for some reason). Also, the unit is great for a woman’s hands. The safety turn-on switch is within reach of even my small hands. It doesn’t make a lot of noise, and then, of course, there’s no gas to mix. The price on Amazon was the lowest I found. I had to buy a new battery because my old ones bit the dust. So all told with the newer battery (which I can use on other Milwaukee tools) I spent about $350 total.

This saw is a beast and will cut trees down and not just limbs. Read some people saying that this saw is dangerous and dances around wildly but that only happens if you’re an idiot and inexperienced, you need to get the limb or whatever you are cutting through close to the throat of the saw and not halfway or at the end otherwise it can bounce around. Oiler works great and original chain without sharpening is still on my saw and cutting well after 4 months. Battery (5.0) lasts a real long time too. Great tool to have alongside my big boy chainsaws.

Bought for my husband and he loves it. Uses it all the time to trim in small places. Very sturdy. Highly recommend!!

Well-designed, lightweight, quiet, plenty powerful for the work I do.

It cuts like butter any and all the branch sizes I could possibly need cutting. I’m already in the Milwaukee platform so I saved on the battery. Highly recomended.

Quality handheld tool that works great for pruning trees in our orchards. Would be even better if it was a tad lighter.

This thing more than exceeded my expectations!
I used it to take a couple smaller trees down. 1 was an 8in tree, although I only used this thing down to a 6in section. The rest I used a bigger chain saw with. The other trees were 5in and in under in diameter. This thing did it really well though!

I knew buying it it was a “tool only” box, but I had to run out and get some bar oil which I think a little 4oz bottle really should have been included. Not a big deal, just an annoyance. Overall I haven’t been able to stall it out on some living 2″ crepe myrtle trees, and I’ll be hitting the elm in a few weeks. It cuts fairly quickly and smoothly.
Where it falls short of doing really well are small limbs under 1/2″, the saw tooth blades sometimes jump because the tiny limb jumps and wiggles too. Not a big deal because thats not specifically what a chain saw is for but cutting a bunch of limbs for pruning you will have to deal with them eventually.
Its not terribly loud but an afternoon of lugging this thing around will make your arms sore. Its not surprisingly heavy, just cumbersome and it does have a little heft to it. I’m not certain they could make it lighter but 1 handed use while on a ladder is definitely possible where a gas chainsaw wouldn’t be usable. Very excellent tool!

This is an amazing tool. It’s lightweight, easy-to-use, and does an excellent job for trimming up those lower branches that always seem to be in the way when you’re mowing. Excellent purchase!! (My husband would like to use it also if I let him;))

This thing is awesome!
I cut a bunch of branches all afternoon on one charge. So handy and quick. I don’t have to get my big chainsaw out and lug it and its buddies around (gas and oil). No yanking to get a cold engine started, just press the button and go.
The oiling system keeps everything well lubricated. The design allows sawdust to clear the saw. Thus you don’t get the build-up around the drive sprocket.
If you leave chain oil in it, laying it on its side (fill port facing up) stops the chain oil from free-flowing when in storage. Found that out the hard way…
Should have bought this 3 years ago.
Another quality product from my favorite cordless tool company
