Another great product from a great company! Keeps the twin turbos on my Q60 cool even on the hottest days of summer and way bigger than stock! It’s also a great supporting mod if you plan on turning up the boost!

What I got was no mishimoto heat exchanger. Sure it was a heat exchanger but from God knows where. Looks like a ebay special cuase the heat exchanger I received was not mishimoto nor even one meant for my q50. I was scammed.

High Quality, large capacity HXTR essential for tuned Q50
I wanted maximum cooling with maximum capacity. This HXTR offers that over other smaller aftermarket systems. I only wanted to do this installation once, so bought the largest HXTR on the market from Mishi which is a great product.
Welding is fabulous.
Came in OEM box and foam packing.
I was a little nervous about damage but it arrived safe and sound, also Amazon return policy gave me piece of mind too. They also had it in stock so no 50 wks lead time due to pandemic shipping issues….
It’s full aluminum. It took about 5.5 hrs to install on a 2016 Q50SS. If did this again, it would be around 4hrs. There is a great you tube Mishi install video that walks you through every step. Perfect – yes you do need to remove the head light (only 3 bolts! easy!)
I was advised to buy the air lift vacuum tool, which I did. I also then needed an air compressor and air hoses / adaptors (+$350). However the tool allowed me to rapidly and safely refill the system correctly which is what I was advised to do to avoid damage to the car.
All in, the HXTR and shop tools for the install weren’t cheap but necessary to avoid heat soak on this motor.
