I’ve seen some reviews of this product saying that it doesn’t fit especially in the back seats, and that made me hesitant to purchase. But after a few hours of installation I can safely say that this was a great purchase! The fit is spot on and, besides a few wrinkles/creases that should go away with time, it is almost indistinguishable from OEM. The functional middle console in the back seat is a huge plus, other brands default to zippers and they don’t look quite as clean. The material feels great to sit on and I can feel a difference immediately on hot days compared to my OEM black seats. I didn’t even need the physical installation manual because the video covered it pretty thoroughly.

Overall a great product. Some observations regarding the omission of some important installation tips.
1. The installation guide that came with the kit was rather generic in nature and omitted some items or had some steps out of order; some details as follows:
2. My kit included “full surround”; the instructions mention full surround backrest “stopper”, but step 1-07 essentially says to finish the backrest installation with the hooking of the “stopper “ into final position. However, that same stopper must immediately be unhooked to enable the installation of the front seat surface to begin.
3. There should be a label fixed to each respective “driver’s/passenger’s front row backrest cover” designating which one goes on which seat; I know the airbag location on the backrest’s, so I was able to deduce which cover went on which side. A novice installer may not notice that a seemingly correct backrest cover installation is in fact blocking the seat back airbag because the wrong one was installed on the wrong seat back.
4. My kit included “driver’s/passenger’s rear row door panel cover”. The installation instructions for this, steps 06-01 and 06-02, gloss over the very complex way these covers actually have to be installed to work correctly. There are three black cloth pouches, about 5cm x 5cm, stiffed with some synthetic material, sewn into the back of these covers. These pouches have to also be stuffed behind the OEM trim piece in order to act as “masses” that will not let the cover edge slip out from behind the OEM trim piece. Lots of nuances required to get these pieces into place (photo above).
5. Finally, previous experience with interiors had me removing the eight front seat (four per seat) T45 anchor bolts prior to attempting any installation of the “front row seat cushion cover(s)”. This allowed me to tilt the seat up (front or back as required) to allow an unencumbered view of where the seat cover straps would route themselves (and the straps with hooks would hook themselves). In the end, I chose an X pattern for the three longitudinal straps as this kept the outboard straps away from the seat worm drive unit as well as away from any “weight on seat” sensor arrays (as per the included photo).

This is the third seat cover I have purchased for my 2022 Tesla Model Y. The first one lasted two years before the leather began cracking in some areas. The second one I bought did not fit well, and I didn’t like its latch design, so I had to return it after fully installing it. This one fits the best and seems to be of great quality. It looks very nice and has improved the interior look. It’s the best seat cover I’ve had so far.

Sent it back at MY Expense! Cost me $270 Cdn to return! On the other hand the one seat that I installed looked good!

It was definitely a struggle to get them in and to fit. They look nice for the most part. The part you sit on in the front seat (called the seat bottoms) shift a little bit and I could not get them to be perfectly fixed. I did my best to tuck the rear of the seat bottoms into the seat “break” (where the rotation happens for adjusting the back rest), but I still can’t get them to be totally snug. I also noticed a bit of unraveling at the seam in the seat “break” on the front passenger seat and there is a loop of thread. I tucked it back into the seam, and I hope it stays in place. That is a quality issue though. I also noticed after 11 months there are teenie tiny tears next to a few of the tiny perforated holes on the driver’s seat bottom I sit on, so I don’t think the quality is necessarily the best since it should be fit for purpose (able to withstand daily wear). The covers also cause the seats to make squeaky noises when I take turns in my M3. I haven’t figured out a way around that.

It took me a couple of hours to install these, and it can be pretty tedious to do. They seemingly fit pretty well, and even keep the center cup holder in the back seat usable unlike other brands. These seat covers feel great, and look like they should hold up well. I still need to go around in the daylight and tuck in some spots.
I have removed one star because the straps are prone to breaking. I broke 2 off during the installation process, but it didn’t seem to mess with anything too much. They look nearly OEM, and once the little wrinkles go away I don’t think the average person would notice a difference.

Really nice

As a former auto tech, and have gutted and rebuilt interiors in the past, this was a generally easy process other than space to handle this task, overall installation isnt horrible to do labor wise expect about 2 hours if experienced with trying to get it right. however…thats where the failures are…you cant get this fitted right.
Fabric> seems thick, durable, feels decent to the touch and was enjoyable.
Color>Wine red is fantastic looking in the black tesla interior. 5 stars for the color
Fitmet> Completely poor, i could not latch the back seat down to the frame, folding down seats barely move, lots of play in the covers cannot get them tight, seatbelt latches attached to the seat bottom frame wont come all the way thru. Very poor and lack of hooks to hold the front seat backs solid. Middle armrest looks awful, and the 60/40 seat, well the 60 side good luck getting that to fit right and stay that way…part of it does, but at the center armrest its not durable in terms of staying in place if its used much
Overall, 1 star because they are useless, and simply do not fit very well.

Will admit the quality of the seats are excellent. The seller reaches out to ensure everything is done smoothly and help if you have any issues. Highly recommend this product!
