This is my first battery snowblower after reading many reviews on many models and brands I settled on this one. The battery lasted longer than I expected. I have a 6 to 8 car driveway and a small walkway to my porch. It is able to complete between 5-6 inches of medium to light snow easily and about 3-5 inches of heavier wet snow. The battery charges quick enough that I can blow in the morning, noon, and evening by charging in-between. I may likely still purchase another battery or based on the price, purchase another tool that comes with the battery.
One likely modification I will make is bolting on a metal strip to the underside that I can replace. My previous snowblower of similar design has a thin plastic edge like this one does which gets chewed up and worn quickly from scraping along the ground and running into any imperfections in your driveway.

From the moment I started using this machine it would stop every 10-20 feet. If you push the button TWICE then pull the bar it will finally start running again. I used it on snow ~6 inches deep and powdery, not even heavy. It just keeps quitting. I had already unboxed it an attempted to use it so there’s no way to return it.
I had every hope a Skil branded item would work. I’ve had a Skil saw for years.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!
Complete WASTE of hundreds of dollars!

This is one of the bestsnow blowers on the market. The battery is very large and heavy. The battery was charged in 2 hours. It works very well in the snow. It took me 20 minutes to assemble this. Very easy to use. Awesome handle for the chute. Large wheels. The quality is A+++. I always like Skill products. They make the best products. The handle has a very nice trip to it. This is a quiet machine unlike my gas powered one which is expected. Overall, I am very impressed. The price is kind of high but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend. Must buy!!

I just bought this blower to replace a snow joe that quit after 3.5 years, and could not be fixed for lack of parts. I have a one car driveway, but it has a right angle turn which make sit in fact wider and rather long. We had about 5″ of somewhat wet snow for this first use.
With the batteries about 90% charged at the start it just managed to do the whole job, the juice dying when I was doing the last stripe. It took about 30 minutes
It is not self propelled, but it is light weight and easy to push. You have to push lightly or it will stall, but you get the hang of it after a few minutes. Set the chute angle rather high and the snow will fly out of your way. The handle to rotate the direction of the chute is easy to use and in general the thing is rather ergonomic: the controls are intuitive
You can lift it easily up steps, although an extra handle would make this even easier.
The battery indicators in both the machine and the charger are clear and very easy to use.
The one thing that remains to be seen is durability. It does have a 3 year warranty.

My old snowblower was a 24” gas engine monster that was powerful, self-propelled and weighed a ton. So that is my reference point.
This little light-weight SKIL battery powered machine definitely doesn’t come close in power, and I have to push it. But I’ve adjusted to its limitations, and I now think of it as my Little Workhorse!
My first use was on 10” of snow accumulation on my big deck. The SKIL machine is light enough that I could pick it up and carry it up to my deck … something inconceivable with my old monster. By experimenting, I found I could keep the machine from getting overloaded by making 2 passes. On the first pass, I left 1-2’ of depth behind. Without the skid bar scraping on the deck, I could push that little machine easily, and it ate that snow up as fast as I could push it. On the second pass, it easily cleaned up what was left (see picture). No more shoveling on the deck!
My second use was on 2” of very wet snow on my steep driveway. It was surprisingly very hard to push that lightweight machine uphill. The design of the snowblower tilts the weight forward so the skid bar contacts the ground to clean all the way to the bottom. But that friction makes it hard going uphill. I learned to brace myself and push about 3’ at a time. (I need to find an easier way). Going downhill was a breeze, so time-wise it evened out. It threw that wet snow easily across the width of my driveway (12’).
It quit on me several times. Sometimes it would restart for me without me making any changes. (I think maybe the jostling during use caused a temporary break in the electrical connections). When that didn’t work, I learned to check the battery. When the battery was spent, it showed all red bars. If there was still battery power left, popping it out and reseating it seemed to do the trick. I also tried it with some SKIL 2.5AH batteries I had. Worked fine, but as expected didn’t last as long. But good to know I have other batteries I can use.
Overall I am very pleased with my Little Workhorse. I have learned to work within its limitations … and I’m still getting to know its quirks. But it does the job for me.

In lighter snow, it is completely adequate. If you are blowing more than say 5 inches and anything real wet, you may be frustrated. Batttery life allows me to complete my approx 75 foot driveway and sidewalk.
