We use this for Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes. The ones that are solar work great. but the battery ones were just ok. I will not get them again because solar is what I am looking for. (description was misleading and thought they all had solar (battery ones have a solar cell, but it is not hooked up) Thanks

Good price, BUT these are not solar. Half of them needed a AA battery, not included. I searched for solar, they have solar panel on them, but in print they say battery.. I missed that. Solar has a rechargable battery. So I missed that in print. Most battery ones have no solar panel on the case. So that’s misleading.

Bought them as replacements for another set of 4-function calculators since the kids aren’t as gentle with them as they can be. Took them out of the box this morning (about a year after I bought them) and none of them actually turn on. I cleared to solar cells of debris, installed batteries, put them under direct sunlight…..and all 48 are duds. Don’t recall what I paid for them but I effectively bought 48 pieces of plastic.

We picked out a few at random. They all work like you’d expect.
They are at least as good as the 1.99 calcs (which until recently were 99 cents) at Wal-Mart, and they’re cheaper, so no complaints.

These look like they will be fine, but I expected that 2/3 of them would be solar. What I actually received was half 24 battery operated and 24 small solar. None of the third size larger solar. Good price though so I am satisfied. First shipment was lost in the mail and Amazon was great about sending a second shipment out when I contacted them.

Be aware when you’re buying this they’re not all solar powered. You will need batteries for half of them. I bought them for my class for a medical math unit. I hope they’re hold up.
