I bought his to replace my 6 or 7 year old set from Costco for which I paid $100. At that time, GW only had about a dozen or so different products. I’ve been using their chainsaws and lawn mower (corded) for years. Durable and good quality. It still works even if bits get stuck in the chuck all the time, but I used my friends compact makita set and thought it was amazing how small it was. I saw that GW had a new version and for the price, had to try it.
One thing to note is that the older brushed model has generally more power. They just drive faster when using side by side.
I do like the slow startup on the impact, makes it a little easier to control, but the max speed is slower. I guess that means lower wear on the motor and better battery life which was always and still is amazing even on my 6 year old batteries.
The charger pretty much stinks compared to the docking style but luckily these fit into the old dock just fine. It is more compact though and probably cheaper so, it’s hard to complain too much about it. I like to hang the dock on the wall, whereas the new style is more of a clip, not meant to keep out all the time.
The old battery I also think is superior due to the rubberized outside, where the new one is just smoother and feels cheap. I’ve worked on roofs and think that it has helped but we’ll see if it’s a problem on the new one or not.
Overall still the great amazing value GW has always been and I will continue to use their products because they keep being dependable.

As a homeowner who enjoys tackling DIY projects around my house, I’ve had a great experience with this tool set.
Right off the bat, the build quality caught my attention. Both tools feel robust and well-crafted. The incorporation of brushless motor technology is a definite advantage, not only extending battery life but also enhancing the overall efficiency of the tools.
When it comes to power, these tools pack quite a punch for home use. The drill handles various tasks with ease, from drilling into wood, plastic, to even metal. Meanwhile, the impact driver effortlessly drives screws into place. The variable speed settings on both tools provide precise control, making it easy to work on different materials.
The ergonomic design is another positive feature. The handles offer a comfortable grip, reducing strain during extended use. Additionally, their lightweight nature contributes to their user-friendliness, preventing fatigue during prolonged projects.
Battery life has also proven to be good. I’ve managed to complete several projects on a single charge, and with the combo’s two batteries, I always have a spare on hand. The battery indicator is a considerate addition, keeping me informed about the remaining power level.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with this cordless drill and impact driver combo from Greenworks. It’s a powerful and versatile tool set that perfectly caters to home use. I would gladly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and user-friendly set of tools for their DIY projects.

Trabaja a ritmo pesado sin problema, batería rinde más de 3 horas en uso constante, buena fuerza del taladro y la pistola de impacto, altamente recomendable, habrá que ver cómo sigue funcionando la batería ya con uso

I am a basic household plus deck and basic building and fixing user. I am not a regular, professional use end user.
I was looking at impact drivers to improve speed and wrist wear and tear. I was also interested in brushless for durability and no “spark” from the motor. And, of course, battery operated. I wanted enough power (strength) from the tools so I went with the 24v. As I was also considering other Greenworks tools ( I got the 24v battery (48v double use) mower and a 24v trimmer, so it gives me some battery use flexibility also. I’ll catch the weed eater on another sale….
These set is VERY well packaged. I’m keeping it as is in the case as the cardboard divider inside keeps it perfectly organized.
My batteries both fully charged in about an hour to hour and a half each. I have not run these enough to tell you how long they last in use or if the batteries die out quickly. It’s all still new.
Only CONS….
– The Impact bit does move in and out a little, but it will stay in and not prevent function.
– The belt hook ….hmmm…you have to screw it on for use. If you removed the battery, it can then only be layed down due to the hook’s location. Also, and I think this matters most, the belt hook extends the height of the drills such that they won’t fit in the case they send! Note this also means you would not store them with the batteries installed either.
I do wish they’d included some tough lanyards. There is a spot on the back of each tool for one. That can help if you are prone to dropping a tool, and you can hook a carabiner to it to hang between uses including on belts that way.
Again, as an occasional user who also wanted something that’s a bit of a step up just from drill functions and cordless, THIS IS A SCORE!
I am VERY happy with this purchase. It’s all as pictured too. And….since drills aren’t used as often as yard machines, I now have 2 original greenworks batteries that can be used with those as needed also for my needs!
For battery system newbies: Don’t forget that you can only use the voltage for which the units are made. Don’t try to use a 40v on a 24 and vice versa. Also, with battery chargers, you should also only use the same voltage devices and batteries. HOWEVER, you can charge a 4amp on a 2amp charger. It just takes MUCH longer than doing on a 4amp charger.
Keep this in mind when planning use and choosing brands and batteries.

I now have multiple Greenworks tools (others are 40V and 80V). All work great. I have heavily used both the drill and impact drive with many recharges. They’re both still going strong. I was considering buying 4.0Ah batteries, but the 2Ah batteries keep a longterm charge and I haven’t had to recharge very often.

Great combination. Drill and impact driver with batteries and charger in case. In my opinion these Greenworks tools compare to DeWalt, Milwaukee and Bosch at 1/3 the price.
