This worked amazingly well, especially for the price. Worked perfectly with my ryobi +1 batteries. Saved me a ton of time. Easily comes apart to for cleaning. If I had one complaint, it would be the instructions on paint thinning are damn near unreadable but google and YouTube were more than helpful

Bought to paint my house, worked well once i got the mix down correctly (which was almost 50/50 water to paint)

Good coverage and easy to control. one tank full did a surprising amount of coverage

This was the first handheld paint sprayer we ever got, so we didn’t realize you needed to thin the paint out for it to work correctly. Took a bit of trial and error but once we got it working correctly it worked really well and the finish was smooth, we did notice if it was too thin we had paint runs and drips. It was very easy to clean, and worked with the ryobi batteries with no issues.

Pros: I liked that it was small, lightweight and easy to use with my Ryobi batteries. I sprayed approx. 15 fence boards per fill up. Made getting in the cracks of the fence boards effortless. Easy to clean and use. Made a two day job into a 4-6 hour job.

Cons: Had to thin the paint with water before using it, a pain but not too bad. Also the paint strainers that come with it are way too small and flimsy, went to Lowes and bought the Trimaco 1 qt medium mesh cone strainer 4 pack worked way better and faster $.98 per 4 pack. These were excellent, you don’t want paint clumps to clog the sprayer.

Performance good if the paint is thin enough (would go with closer to the 30 second paint pass through test), nozzle was very good with multiple spray patterns, and overall size and convenience was excellent. Made life easy for painting the fence.

Don’t wait if you think you can’t do a pro job, easy to master with professional results.

  6. Shaun Bootsma

Happy to find something that uses our batteries, however- battery does not last long.

I recently had my roof replaced and needed to paint the wooden soffit and fascia to match the rest of the house. This tool was a miracle worker. I completed the project in about 2 hours. The prepping and set up took longer than the actual painting. Also, after painting, cleaning the tool is very easy. I was concerned and scared that it would be a nightmare to clean but its very simple.

I have quite a bit of experience with paint sprayers, from handheld airless sprayers to the larger professional size airless sprayers and HVLP sprayers.
I just couldn’t get this one to work with anything close to satisfactory results. The unit itself came with no instructions. There’s nothing about how much to dilute paint or about straining it or adjusting the spray pattern or volume. It comes with 4 different plates with different sized holes, but there’s no information provided that explaines what the different plates are for or suggests when or how to use them. There’s also no information provided on how to clean it.
If you’re experience with other airless sprayers, you can probable figure mist of that out, but the performance is still a problem. It makes alot of noise like it’s really doing something, but hardly any paint comes out. The paint that does come out just sort of sputters out and falls onto the surface. No matter how much I thinned the paint, it always seemed like the unit just didn’t have enough power to push the paint out. I even tried thinning the paint well beyond the point of ruining it and it just wasn’t enough. I don’t think this tool could satisfactorily spray pure water.
I’ll try working with it a little more to see if I can come up with a way to get better results and will update this review if anything changes.
